{"id":251,"date":"2013-07-10T13:40:18","date_gmt":"2013-07-10T20:40:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/?p=251"},"modified":"2013-07-10T13:40:18","modified_gmt":"2013-07-10T20:40:18","slug":"philly-cheese-steak-hot-dogs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/philly-cheese-steak-hot-dogs\/","title":{"rendered":"Philly Cheese Steak Hot Dogs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/philly_cheese_steak_hot_dogs_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-254\" alt=\"philly_cheese_steak_hot_dogs_3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/philly_cheese_steak_hot_dogs_3-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/philly_cheese_steak_hot_dogs_3-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/philly_cheese_steak_hot_dogs_3.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>In honor of National Hot Dog Month, we&#8217;re traveling to Philly to bring you Philly Cheese Steak Hot Dog!<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 all beef hot dogs<\/li>\n<li>4 hot dog buns<\/li>\n<li>1lb\u00a0sirloin tip steak<\/li>\n<li>salt<\/li>\n<li>black pepper<\/li>\n<li>garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>1 green pepper (sliced)<\/li>\n<li>1 onion (sliced)1 cup nacho cheese or\u00a0cheez\u00a0whiz<br \/>\n<em>***(We use real cheddar instead of nacho cheese or\u00a0cheez\u00a0whiz)***<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cooking Instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Step 1:\u00a0Slice the steak a thinly as possible into small strips. Season the steak strips to your taste with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Heat a medium skillet to high heat. Add steak strips to the pan and cook until browned on the outside.\u00a0Deglaze\u00a0the pan with \u00bd cup water, and scrape up any bits of steak stuck to the pan. Reduce heat and simmer until steak is fully cooked and the liquid has reduced to almost nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2:\u00a0In another medium skillet add vegetable oil and heat to medium high heat. Add green onion and peppers and\u00a0saut\u00e9\u00a0until tender.<\/p>\n<p>Step 3:\u00a0Lightly grease an outdoor grill or an indoor grill pan and heat to medium high heat. Grill hot dogs until slightly charred. While hot dogs are grilling heat nacho cheese or\u00a0cheez\u00a0whiz in a small pan over low heat.
