This recipe comes from an old roommate who based it off the famed Seattle Dog.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingredients:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>4 bratwursts or polish sausages<\/li>\n<li>4 buns<\/li>\n<li>2 lager style beers<\/li>\n<li>1 large onion (sliced)<\/li>\n<li>2 garlic cloves (minced)<\/li>\n<li>1 8 oz package of Cream Cheese (soften to room temperature)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions:<\/h3>\n<p>Preheat half of the grill on medium heat. In a foil pan, combine the beer, onions, and garlic and place on the cool side of the grill. Cook until onions are soft about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>Add the Bratwursts or polish sausages to the onion mixture once onions are translucent.<\/p>\n<p>Close lid and allow to cook until the dogs are completely cooked turning occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>Once cooked, place the dogs on the warm side of the grill and grill about 3-5 minutes on each side and then return to the pan.<\/p>\n<p>To assemble, smear cream cheese on a toasted hot bun, add the bratwurst, and top with onion mixture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Seattle-Hot-Dog.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-325\" alt=\"Seattle Hot Dog\" src=\"http:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Seattle-Hot-Dog.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Seattle-Hot-Dog.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.beermonthclub.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/Seattle-Hot-Dog-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we continue to celebrate National Hotdog Month, we travel to Seattle!
