Back in Da Haze pours a hazy golden-orange hue capped by a soft, persistent white head. Aromas burst from the glass with layers of ripe citrus, tropical fruit, and coconut—orange peel, mango, and subtle pineapple leading the way, accented by Sabro’s distinctive creamy character. The palate is plush and smooth, driven by a pillowy mouthfeel from wheat and oats. Juicy hop flavors dominate without sharp bitterness, allowing fruit character to shine. The finish is softly dry with lingering citrus and tropical notes, keeping the beer vibrant and refreshing. Balanced and expressive, this hazy IPA delivers flavor without fatigue.
Melvin Brewing Company was founded in 2009 by brothers Tyler and Bryant Mendenhall, along with a group of friends who set out to make unapologetically bold, hop-forward beers in the rugged mountain town of Alpine, Wyoming. From the beginning, Melvin embraced a rebellious, high-energy approach to brewing—one that favored big flavor, irreverent humor, and a relentless focus on quality. Their beers quickly gained national attention, culminating in Melvin being named GABF Large Brewing Company of the Year in 2016, a rare achievement that cemented their reputation among America’s elite craft breweries.
Despite their rapid rise and cult following, Melvin has remained committed to its Wyoming roots, producing beers that are expressive, approachable, and designed for drinkability as much as impact. With a portfolio ranging from easygoing blondes to aggressively hopped IPAs, Melvin continues to balance playful creativity with technical brewing skill, delivering beers that are as memorable as the personalities behind them.
