Brewed in collaboration with a Yorkshire coffee roaster, Theakston Barista Stout is a smooth and flavorful coffee sweet stout that showcases the perfect harmony between roasted malt and freshly brewed coffee. Pouring deep ebony beneath a creamy tan head, it offers inviting aromas of espresso, dark chocolate, roasted barley, and subtle caramel sweetness. The palate is silky and approachable, layering rich coffee, bittersweet cocoa, toasted malt, and hints of toffee before finishing creamy, balanced, and exceptionally drinkable despite its rich character. Pair with chocolate desserts, tiramisu, coffee cake, smoked brisket, or mature English cheeses.
Founded in 1827, T&R Theakston Brewery is one of England's oldest independent family breweries and a cornerstone of traditional British brewing. Located in the historic market town of Masham in North Yorkshire, Theakston has spent nearly two centuries producing classic ales using time-honored brewing methods, carefully selected ingredients, and water drawn from the limestone-rich Yorkshire Dales. While the brewery is perhaps best known for its legendary Old Peculier ale, its portfolio spans everything from crisp pale ales and bitters to modern seasonal offerings, each reflecting a commitment to quality, heritage, and craftsmanship.
Today, the fifth-generation family brewery continues to balance centuries-old tradition with thoughtful innovation. Whether brewing iconic cask ales or contemporary styles like Barista Stout, Theakston remains dedicated to producing balanced, flavorful beers that celebrate the rich history of British brewing.
