Originally introduced as a lower-alcohol Session IPA, Trader has evolved into a more substantial yet still remarkably approachable interpretation of the style. Pouring a bright copper-amber color beneath a generous white head, this beer offers an expressive hop aroma filled with citrus, tropical fruit, and floral notes. Hints of herbal spice mingle with a light caramel malt character, creating an inviting balance between hop intensity and malt sweetness. Its hop-forward personality delivers much of the character associated with stronger American IPAs while maintaining a moderate 5% ABV. On the palate, Trader places its hops firmly in the spotlight, offering layers of citrus zest, floral character, and gentle spice. A supporting malt foundation contributes touches of caramel and toasted bread, while a moderate bitterness carries through to a crisp, refreshing finish. With 46 IBUs, this IPA offers enough bite to satisfy hop enthusiasts without becoming overly aggressive. For pairings, we'd recommend spicy tacos, buffalo wings, grilled burgers, barbecue chicken, or sharp cheddar. Its lively hop character should also complement dishes featuring citrus-based sauces and bold seasonings. Cheers!

Uinta Brewing Company was established in Salt Lake City in 1993, during the early years of America's modern craft brewing movement. Named after Utah's Uinta Mountains, one of the few major mountain ranges in the contiguous United States that runs predominantly east to west, the brewery developed an identity closely connected to the state's rugged landscapes and outdoor recreation. From its beginnings, Uinta focused on producing flavorful, approachable craft beers while embracing a spirit of independence and exploration.

As Utah's craft beer industry grew, Uinta expanded its brewing capabilities and developed an increasingly diverse portfolio of ales and lagers. The brewery became particularly well known for its commitment to environmental responsibility. In 2001, Uinta became the first company in Utah to operate using renewable energy sources, establishing sustainability as an important part of its business philosophy. Its environmental initiatives have complemented a brewing approach that combines traditional techniques with modern ingredients and innovation.

Over the years, Uinta has earned recognition for beers ranging from crisp pilsners and hop-forward ales to rich seasonal specialties. Its portfolio includes longtime favorites such as Cutthroat Pale Ale, 801 Pilsner, and Yard Sale Winter Lager. Today, Uinta continues to draw inspiration from Utah's mountains and outdoor lifestyle, producing beers intended to be enjoyed after everything from a day on the ski slopes to an afternoon exploring the trails.
