West Sixth Amber is a smooth, approachable American Amber Ale that highlights rich malt character without sacrificing balance or drinkability. Pouring a brilliant copper-amber beneath a creamy off-white head, it opens with inviting aromas of toasted bread crust, caramel, light toffee, and subtle citrus hops. The malt-forward bouquet is complemented by delicate floral and grapefruit notes from Cascade hops, adding brightness without overwhelming the beer's classic amber profile. The palate delivers layers of freshly baked bread, toasted biscuit, caramelized sugar, and a touch of rye spice from the flaked rye in the grain bill. Victory and Melanoidin malts contribute a pleasant nutty depth, while moderate hop bitterness keeps the finish crisp, clean, and refreshingly dry. At 5.5% ABV, Amber offers exceptional balance, making it equally enjoyable as a session beer or paired alongside hearty comfort foods. Try it with grilled burgers, barbecue pulled pork, smoked sausage, roasted chicken, aged cheddar, or wood-fired pizza.

Founded in 2012, West Sixth Brewing Company helped usher in a new era of Kentucky craft beer by transforming the historic West Sixth Street Bread Box building in Lexington into a vibrant community brewery. Named after the street it calls home, West Sixth quickly earned a reputation for brewing approachable, high-quality beers while fostering a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, charitable giving, and neighborhood revitalization. From its earliest days, the brewery has embraced the philosophy that great beer can help build stronger communities, donating a portion of its sales to nonprofit organizations through its Sixth for a Cause program.

While Kentucky is often associated with bourbon, West Sixth has become one of the state's flagship craft breweries by producing a diverse lineup of award-winning beers that showcase both classic brewing traditions and modern American innovation. Whether crafting crisp lagers, hop-forward IPAs, rich stouts, or seasonal specialties, the brewery emphasizes balance, drinkability, and quality ingredients. Today, West Sixth continues to expand its reach while remaining proudly independent, welcoming visitors to its Lexington brewery, farm, and taprooms throughout the Bluegrass State.
