Our shipping boxes hold a total of either 12 or 24 bottles/cans, with flat S&H costs of $15 and $24, respectively. Feel free to order any quantity of any given beer, but if you want to pay the least shipping cost per beer, ensure your total order is a multiple of 12 bottles/cans, i.e. 12, 24, 36, 48, etc.
Large format beers (750-ml, 22-oz, 500-ml bottles):
We have boxes which can accommodate as few as 2 bottles ($15 S&H) all the way up to 20 bottles ($52 S&H), and everything in between. Beyond 20, we will start a new box.

Alesong’s Maestro offers up a delicious and potent experience to kick off this Rare Beer Club special offer. All the beers in this special offer have very limited availability, mainly through the Rare Beer Club. Small allocations from previous vintages may be available at a limited number of fine retailers throughout the US, but they are very few and far between. Alesong’s tasting room does have a few on hand as well.
The Maestro was aged in freshly emptied Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels and pours a deep, rich, amber to mahogany color with a moderately thick cream-colored head. The aromas that seem to jump out of the glass are of pronounced bourbon notes – caramel, vanilla, charred oak, and hints of leather accompanied by the robust malty and brown sugar notes of this English-style barleywine. There’s also a healthy dose of toffee and dark fruit, recalling figs, dates, and raisins.
On the palate the Alesong Maestro represents the aromas as flavors in an oak-forward crescendo, from first sip to last, of sultry toffee and baking spices with the addition of butterscotch and hints of sweet short bread. After a few sips a warming sensation develops as the 13.9% abv starts to become noticeable, yet welcoming. Full bodied and well rounded only begin to describe the luxurious mouthfeel and velvety texture of this world-class barleywine. Outstanding.
The Alesaong Maestro is built to last and can be aged for years to come. We really enjoyed it now, though, and recommend grabbing quite a few bottles as these are in very limited supply, only available through the Rare Beer Club and the Alesong tasting room. For pairings, Alesong recommends braised beef cheeks, Rogue Creamery Caveman Blue Cheese, and chocolate hazelnut torte.
