North Carolina Craft Breweries & Brewpubs
Historically, North Carolina has never had a major presence in the craft beer scene, but the
past 10 years have seen a boom in beer, with craft breweries in Charlotte leading the charge.
The state is home to some big names, like Sierra Nevada Brewing Company and New Belgium Brewing
Company, who have set up brewing plants and popular brewpubs, but it’s the craft brewers that are
drawing attention. Asheville’s Burial Beer Co., Raleigh’s Big Boss Brewing Company, and Charlotte’s
Birdsong Brewing Co. are three of the biggest names in North Carolina craft beer,
and the list will only get longer.

Fans of The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club enjoy the selection and diversity we offer with our
five beer clubs, but it’s our Rare Beer Club® that truly stands out
from the pack. We’ve been fortunate enough to feature several breweries from North Carolina in
that club, including Fullsteam Brewery’s Tree-to-Sea Gose.
This southern gose, which is a blend of two distinct goses brewed with spruce tips, was part
of our ongoing partnership with Pints for Prostates,
a group that raises money and awareness for prostate cancer through craft breweries.
We invite you to review our list of North Carolina brewpubs and breweries, but be sure to
consider buying or gifting a subscription box to The Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club. We take our
dedication to supplying great craft beer very seriously, and we’re sure
you or someone special will enjoy each shipment.
