This special Hazy IPA clocks in at 7% ABV and immediately announces itself with a highly aromatic combination of tropical fruit, juicy white grape, tart gooseberry, and fresh citrus peel. The aroma has playful “did someone leave a fruit salad in the hop room?” energy, setting the stage for a bright, fruit-driven drinking experience.

The beer is dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and New Zealand Cascade, two varieties prized for their distinctive New Zealand character. Nelson Sauvin contributes its signature white grape, gooseberry, and tropical qualities, while New Zealand Cascade complements it with lively citrus and fruit notes.

DankHouse takes the hop intensity even further with Nelson Sauvin Hop Kief and New Zealand Cascade Hop Kief. These concentrated hop additions amplify the aromatic qualities of the varieties, creating layers of juicy fruit and citrus over the soft, hazy character expected from the style. The result is a bold yet inviting IPA designed to put its hops front and center.

Hazy IPAs are best enjoyed fresh, when their hop aromas are at their brightest, so keep this release refrigerated and enjoy it sooner rather than aging it. Pair its tropical, citrusy character with spicy tacos, grilled chicken, Thai curry, sharp cheddar, or a juicy burger—the beer’s fruit-forward hops provide a refreshing contrast to rich, savory, and spicy foods.

Founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Josh and Heather Lange, DankHouse Brewing Company grew out of the couple’s shared fascination with craft beer. Trips to breweries inspired them to teach themselves how to brew, turning a homebrewing hobby into a business in Newark, Ohio. What began as a modest operation has grown considerably: today, DankHouse brews on a 10-barrel system and has expanded distribution beyond Ohio into other U.S. markets as well as Europe and the United Kingdom.

DankHouse has become particularly known for flavor-packed IPAs, stouts, and fruited kettle sours, with experimentation playing an important role in its brewing philosophy. The brewery’s hop-forward creations are especially fitting for this collaboration, as DankHouse has considerable experience working with expressive modern hop varieties and producing hazy IPAs. Its reputation developed quickly after opening; DankHouse was recognized by Hop Culture among its top new breweries of 2018 and was also featured in Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine’s New Brewery Spotlight.

For this special release, DankHouse joined Beer Babes Family as part of Babe Brew™, a collaborative beer series with a purpose extending far beyond the glass. Beer Babes Family is a charitable organization and inclusive beer community operating in the United States and Canada that works to support and positively engage women throughout the beer world—from casual enthusiasts to brewers, Cicerones, judges, and other industry professionals. The organization partners with breweries across North America to create Babe Brew releases, with a portion of beer sales supporting its grant program.

Babe Brew is dedicated to women who inspire, mentor, challenge expectations, lead by example, champion equality, and encourage others to confidently make their mark on the world. Money raised through participating breweries helps fund Beer Babes Family business grants for women working in the beer industry who want to strengthen or improve their businesses. Previous grants have helped recipients purchase practical brewery equipment, including a fermenter, keg washer, canning-line date stamp, and dissolved oxygen meter.

Each participating brewery is encouraged to showcase its own strengths rather than follow a prescribed beer style, making every Babe Brew collaboration distinctive. DankHouse chose a style firmly within its wheelhouse: a 7% ABV Hazy IPA loaded with New Zealand hops. Dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin and New Zealand Cascade along with concentrated Nelson Sauvin and New Zealand Cascade Hop Kief, the beer brings DankHouse’s hop-driven brewing personality together with the charitable mission behind Babe Brew. Beer Babes Family’s 2026 release calendar confirms DankHouse’s Babe Brew release in Newark, Ohio, on August 8, 2026.

The result is more than a one-time specialty IPA. It celebrates the creativity of the people who make craft beer while raising funds intended to help women in the industry pursue their own ambitions—making every pour part of the larger Babe Brew mission.
