Phoenixville, PA – Sly Fox Bock Fest & Goat Race

“The Sly Fox Bock Festival & Goat Race is held on the first Sunday of May every year, rain or shine. It has become one of the Philadelphia region’s favorite beer-focused celebrations, drawing crowds estimated in the 2,500 to 3,000 range to the Sly Fox Brewhouse & Eatery in Phoenixville in recent years. The day marks the release of the Maibock which is tapped immediately after the race and named in honor of the winner. The festival takes place in front of the pub with a huge tent helping provide shade on what is usually a perfect spring day. The running of the ruminants is held from the rear of the building in which the pub sits down along a roadway to a finish line near the back of festival area, in front of a grassy hillside where early arrivals have staked out their place. Afterwards, some of the goats and their owners mingle with the crowd, delighting the many children in attendance with their families.”

Nationwide, USA – American Craft Beer Week

“Beer weeks are giving craft beer fans across the U.S. ever-increasing options to enjoy and share the beverage they love. Beer weeks celebrate the culture and community of craft beer, and give breweries and beer businesses the opportunity to connect with the fans. The Brewers Association, the national non-profit association on behalf of the majority of today's U.S. breweries, and publishers of CraftBeer.com, celebrate the culmination of these events each May with American Craft Beer Week (ACBW), The Mother of All Beer Weeks.”

San Luis Obispo, CA – California Festival of Beers

“The California Festival of Beers is one of the largest and oldest regional beer festivals in California. Each year attendees sample, learn, and enjoy beers from over six dozen breweries from around the world. Growing from a humble event in the back parking lot of a local pub in San Luis Obispo, the California Festival of Beers has become one of the largest and oldest festivals paying tribute to beer.  This year the California Festival of Beers will continue in its tradition of craft beers, music, and sunshine. Each year the festival draws a wider selection of beer, dining, entertainment and sponsors then years past, and this year is no exception.  In 2013 we are expanding our capacity and holding the festival in the Madonna Inn Meadows, a beautiful expanse of lawn nestled between parks, mountains, and hotels in San Luis Obispo, California.  The larger size of the meadow is the perfect location to spend the day enjoying the festival with more of your friends and grass between your toes.”
